Our story

Formerly Wicks Dental Clinic. Same owners, same friendly faces, new name.

Willow Ridge Dental Care has long been part of the Billings community. Dr. Jones purchased the practice in 2009 and has built on that foundation alongside Dr. Schreiner, growing it into a comprehensive practice without losing what made it feel like home.

In September 2024, the practice opened a new building designed around the patient experience, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The team of twelve works there every day, and the care still runs on relationships that span generations of the same families.

We are independently owned, not a DSO. That independence is the engine behind everything you notice: a schedule kept open on purpose, a front desk that answers by name, and decisions made around you rather than a corporate playbook.

Our doctors

The two dentists leading your care

Both doctors are ADA members and members of the Elevation Association, and both attend national continuing education every year, at Yankee Dental in Boston, the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, and the Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta.

Dr. Laighton Jones, DMD

Dr. Laighton Jones, DMD

Owner

Dr. Jones, a native of Billings, attended Alkali Creek Elementary School, Castle Rock Middle School, and graduated from Skyview High School in 1995. He then spent two years serving the people of Japan as a missionary for his church. Upon his return he met his bride, Katie (also a Billings native). Dr. Jones continued his education at Ricks College and BYU before venturing to dental school at Case School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He quickly became a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Indians as well as the Cavaliers and Browns and remains a fan today.

Dr. Sam Schreiner, DMD

Dentist

Dr. Schreiner was born and raised in Utah, spending the majority of his childhood in Springville. After graduating high school he did two years of missionary service in Argentina. After returning from his mission he earned his bachelor's degree in Public Health at BYU before attending dental school at Midwestern University in Arizona where he received a top tier clinical education in all aspects of dentistry ranging from basic restorative work to crown and bridge to implant dentistry. Dr Schreiner places an emphasis on continuing education and works hard to keep up to date on the most recent developments in dental technology in order to best serve our patients.
